“Middle (中) is the second book in an autobiographical series focused the relationship between the photographer and his partner. The work reflects the unevitability of being in the middle of things — within multiple layers of places, cultures, and different moments in history that continously collide. The book begins with familiar and well-known landscapes photographed in Auvers-sur-Oise, from which it gradually moves toward a more fragmented and introspective reflection.”
